Sleep: more than a marginal gain

Best advice I ever got from a coach-

7-10 days out from a your A race of the season try to get 15-30 min of extra sleep per night. 7 nights of 15 min is an extra 1 hr 45 min of precious sleep.

This might seem simple and obvious but our lives get busy- work, family, training etc… usually the first thing sacrificed is quality sleep.

How many of us said “I’ll just get up an hour earlier to get my 2 hr ride in before work”. I know I have.

Try the 15 min plan, it’s easy, free and works. It worked for me.

Never underestimate the power of a good night sleep.
