Coach : Larissa Herold
Larissa competed in the 1992 US Olympic Swimming Trials in the backstroke and butterfly. She attended the University of California at Berkeley (1992-1997) on a full swimming scholarship, where she placed in the Top 8 at Division 1 NCAA’s in the 200 backstroke, 400IM, 200 IM and 100 Butterfly.
Larissa was the Assistant Head Coach at Bowdoin College 1998-2003. She has coached USS Club swimming for the past 10 years and currently is the Head Coach of Seacoast Swim Club in Cumberland, Maine, as well as the Greely Masters swim team.
While fairly new to multisport compition, Larissa won the Polar Bear Duathlon, Bath YMCA Sprint Tri, Kennebec Sprint Tri (Best of the US Qualifier) and came in second place overall at the Lobsterman Olympic Distance Triathlon. She also achieved All American Status in her first year of competing in triathlon. Her knowledge in multisport is greatly influenced by Kurt Perham’s experience and expertise, and she herself takes a similar approach in coaching her athletes. Larissa is USA Triathlon Level I Certified.
Larissa has two children of her own, ages 5 and 7, and understands the complexities and challenges of family life and trying to find that balance of implementing your training into such a lifestyle. She expects an open and honest coach-client relationship where one works together to achieve the athlete’s full potential, given their unique life circumstances.
